Primavera 6 - First Look

I have just installed and configured Primavera 6. Being a long time MS-Project user, am quite excited to explore it now. Exploring, learning and using Primavera was one of my goals that I was long procrastinating - for one reason or the other. Finally having installed Primavera and with this open window in front of me, I can't wait to start playing with it. Following is the screen shot of home view.
Compare above with home view of MS-Project; Primavera looks bit primitive.
P.S. I have shortlisted top Project and Portfolio Management tools, in next few days I will talk about my experience and thoughts on each of the tool. Why I am doing this, what tools I have shortlisted, what is the motivation behind - will talk about all this in next post. Stay tuned! :)

Looks like you are looking at P6 Version 7.x or before. You should look at the latest version (P6 8.1 Professional - for client or P6 8.1 EPPM for the web based.)

The client has a modern toolbar as well as multiple tabbed views, very different from the classic view of Primavera Client
